Dr Zoran Lekić is a specialist in general, plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, with a sub-specialisation in hair transplantation and laser aesthetic surgery.
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade in 1985. After completing his studies he immediately began working at the First Surgical Clinic in Belgrade, where he started his specialisation in general surgery. He passed his specialist examination in general surgery in 1991 and continued with a specialisation in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, soon passing the specialist examination in this field as well.
From 1985 Dr Zoran Lekić worked in the General Surgery Department of the First Surgical Clinic of the University of Belgrade until 1986, when he left to complete his military service as a physician in the Yugoslav People's Army. After returning in 1987, he continued working at the newly established Emergency Surgery Centre of the University Clinical Centre of Serbia, where he performed general, plastic, reconstructive, aesthetic, thoracic, vascular and urological surgery, as well as trauma and orthopaedic surgery. During the armed conflicts of 1991–1994 he gained enormous experience because of the large number of wounded who were treated at this institution.
In 1994 he moved into private practice, while at the same time completing his specialisation in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at the Clinic for Plastic Surgery and Burns of the University Clinical Centre of Serbia, until 1999, when he moved into private practice full-time.
In the meantime he attended numerous training courses:
A postgraduate course in aesthetic surgery in New York in 1992 and another at Princeton University in New Jersey in 1992, dedicated to hair transplantation. A postgraduate course in aesthetic surgery in 1994 at the University of Prague, a postgraduate course in laser aesthetic surgery at Umeå University in Sweden in 1994, a postgraduate course in aesthetic surgery in 1995 in Kyoto, Japan, a postgraduate course in hair transplantation in Yokohama, Japan, in 1995, a postgraduate course in hair transplantation in Athens in 1995, a postgraduate course in aesthetic surgery in Mexico City in 1995, a postgraduate course in hair transplantation in 1997 in Lisbon, a postgraduate course in aesthetic laser surgery in 1997 in Paris, a postgraduate course in aesthetic surgery in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, in 1997, a postgraduate course in ENT-LAUP surgery in 1998, as well as many other seminars in Serbia and abroad.
Thanks to this training and his attendance at numerous international meetings, Dr Zoran Lekić is a member of the World Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and the European Association for Laser Aesthetic Surgery. He is a member of the Chamber of Private Physicians.
Dr Zoran Lekić lives and works in Dubai at the City Centre Clinic, where he works with experts in plastic, reconstructive, aesthetic and general surgery. At the end of every month he comes to Menssana Special Hospital in Belgrade, where he performs surgical procedures.
